It was amazing that I got to understand the whole process of excellence and professionalism and mostly consultation, and learning to be brave, being loved by my client, get to know them and get them to put their trust in me. My body language matters the most and how I approach and build relationships with my clients.  I also loved the up-selling and upgrading, taking my client on a treatment journey and I need to know how to close my sell, lastly I need to practice!!!

I found that breaking each step to achieving a sale much more understanding, and that it’s not always intimidating when wanting to sell. It was explained in a basic way in which will make it easy to communicate with my client. It helped me find different ways to explain things to a client and to not always mention products and ingredients but to just mention vaguely through other words that they need to start using something to maintain their concerns.

  1. Treatment & Educating Client- telling the clients about benefits of the treatment and why the client needs to re-book their treatments.
  2. Increasing my Retail- talking about how the products are going to help the client, educating the client on how to use the products etc
  3. I think that I must just work on retail because there are some clients that just don’t want to take retail, so practising these skills will help me overcome this barrier.

It’s absolutely amazing!!! Because I haven’t worked in a salon environment for very long, the information about how to sell and up-sell and how to look at treatments and retail differently, is honestly so informative, and i won’t be able to forget it, because she puts them into such practical examples (that we do everyday). Just the intro with her was awesome and I had my ears and eyes pasted on her the whole entire time. We also did some practical training, which was great for me to see. And in the next training, tomorrow, we are doing a manicure and pedicure training, from a communication and retail point, which I am sure I am going to gather a lot of useful information from, also will help boost the confidence and calm the nerves!
